Microsoft announced this morning that it is discounting over 60 retro indie Xbox game titles by up to 75 percent.

“There’s no visual style more iconic that expresses a love for gaming more than retro pixel art,” Microsoft’s Oscar Polanco writes. “Join us in this love letter to gaming culture from some of the most passionate new voices in the industry, while enjoying discounts of up to 75 percent during the [email protected] Retro Sale.”

Some of the key titles on sale include (descriptions are Microsoft’s):

Cuphead (25 percent off). “A classic run-and-gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era; traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings. Play as Cuphead or Mugman (in single player or local co-op) as you traverse strange worlds, acquire new weapons, learn powerful super moves, and discover hidden secrets while you try to pay your debt back to the devil!”

Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Editions (60 percent off). “Forced to leave your home under mysterious circumstances, you find yourself drawn into a conflict that has the Sword Coast on the brink of war.
