Microsoft has just released the Windows 11 Insider build 25276 for Dev Channel testers. This update brings new Task Manager features for developers as well as a more detailed way to check out your OneDrive usage in the Settings app.

Starting with this build, Task Manager now lets users create a live kernel memory dump file to capture a full live kernel or kernel stack memory dumps. This feature is currently only rolling out to a subset of Insiders on the Dev Channel, and it will complete the existing “Memory dump” for user mode processes.

“The goal of kernel live dump is to gather data to troubleshoot an abnormal situation but allow the OS to continue operation. This reduces downtime when compared to a bug check for “non-fatal” but high-impact failures and hangs,” the Windows Insider team explained.

In the Settings app, Insiders will also notice on the Accounts page a consolidated storage quota bar showing their OneDrive usage, including Outlook attachment data. “You may see an alert regarding your storage usage; however, it does not impact your storage amount as early as February 1st, 2023,” the Windows Insider team said today.

Just like the new Task Manager feature, this new storage quota bar will be gradually rolling out to a subset of Dev Channel testers. Other notable changes in this build include an updated dialog when apps have a known compatibility issue, and Microsoft has also fixed an issue where switching windows through taskbar previews wasn’t working.

If you want to do a clean install of today’s build 25276, Microsoft has made ISOs available on its website. Microsoft is also inviting Insiders to test the preview versions of the Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Devices apps that are now available in the Microsoft Store.
