Roku today announced a new version of its Roku Express streaming player and an all-new Roku Wireless Bass for home theater setups. Both are low-end devices that hit the more affordable part of the market.

“We are thrilled to announce two new products in our streaming player and audio product lineup, the Roku Express and Roku Wireless Bass,” Roku’s Chris Larson writes. “The Roku Express comes ready to stream with a simple remote and everything you need to access an extensive library of free, live, and premium entertainment selections. [And] the new Roku Wireless Bass features a slim design that adds deep bass for a theater-like experience paired with a Roku Streambar, Roku Wireless Speakers, or Roku TV Wireless Soundbar.”

Roku’s most affordable streamer, the new Roku Express costs $29.99 and now offers dual-band Wi-Fi for a stronger connection. The streamer supports HD resolutions and the bundled remote “has only the buttons you need to stream, including shortcuts to popular channels.” It is available for pre-order at today and at major retailers on October 16.

The Roku Wireless Bass costs $129.99 and is an affordable way to add improved bass to an existing setup that includes a Roku Streambar, Roku Wireless Speakers, or Roku TV Wireless Soundbar. It can be placed anywhere in the room with the TV, up to 30 feet away if needed. The Roku Wireless Bass is available for pre-order at or can be bundled with a Roku Streambar for $249.99. Both Roku Wireless Bass offerings will be available at U.S. retailers on November 7 as well.
