Nokia 4.2 goes on sale in the US via Amazon and Best Buy
Great news for Nokia fans in the United Sates, as HMD Global has just announced that its mid-range Android smartphone – Nokia 4.2 begins shipping today. If you want to buy one, there are two US online retailers that offer the smartphone for $190: Amazon and Best Buy.
If you want to try it out before placing an order, you’ll have to wait until June 9 when Best Buy will have the Nokia 4.2 available in-store. If you haven’t heard about HMD’s cheap smartphone, here are a couple of things that will correct that.
First off, this is the first Nokia smartphone to come with a Google Assistant button. Simply press once for instant access to the Google Assistant and start getting your answers. You can also use Google’s personal assistant to make calls, listen to music or get directions, by simply using your voice.
It’s also worth mentioning that Nokia 4.2 will not work on CDMA carriers like Sprint and Verizon, but if you want to use it on AT&T, T-Mobile or any other GMS network operator, you won’t have any issues.
Specs-wise, Nokia 4.2 is quite decent for the price you pay. It sports a 5.7-inch HD+ display that features a small waterdrop notch, a dual-rear camera (13MP+2MP), a secondary 8-megapixel selfie camera and a 3,000 mAh battery. Also, the smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Since this is an Android One smartphone, you can expect it to be among the first to receive major OS updates. Last but not least, Nokia 4.2 ships with Android 9.0 Pie on board, Google’s most recent version of Android.
