Microsoft Creates a Hub for All Insider Programs

Posted July 3, 2019 | Bing + MSN | Dev | Microsoft 365 | Microsoft Edge | Office | Office 365 | Skype | Visual Studio Code | Windows | Windows 10 | Xbox One

Microsoft has quietly posted a new hub for all of its Insider programs called Microsoft Insiders.

“As an Insider, you’ll get early access to the latest features, news, and updates,” the Microsoft Insiders website notes. Know what’s coming before the general public, be the first to give feedback directly to our employees, including engineers, and help shape the future of your favorite products. Register for each program now to see what’s next for Microsoft.

The following programs are available.

Bing Insider. This unique program lets members provide Microsoft with feedback on features, concepts, and ideas that it is still working on.

Microsoft Edge Insider. Users can test the coming version of Microsoft Edge, based on Chromium, that runs on Windows 7, 8, and 10, and the Mac.

Office Insider. The busiest Insider program provides early access to new features across all Office desktop, web, and mobile apps.

Skype Insider. This is specifically for Skype for Windows 10, which is essentially the future of the platform on desktop.

Visual Studio Code Insider. Here, you can get pre-release versions of code once each week or once each day.

Windows Insider. The original Insider program lets enthusiasts, developers, and business test the next two versions of Windows 10, currently 19H2 and 20H2, or just test pre-release bug-fixes, drivers, and apps.

Xbox Insider. This eclectic program lets you experience new gaming features via beta system updates and even test some new games.

There may be a Microsoft 365 Insider program coming soon, too. A sign-up page spotted by WalkingCat on Twitter has since been removed, but it was previously promoted as a program for anyone “all-in” on Windows and Office. It should be available in “the coming months.”

I first learned about the Microsoft Insiders website from Neowin.
