Grammarly Keyboard Picks Up Dark Theme, More on iOS

Posted February 28, 2019 | Cloud | Grammarly | iOS | Mobile | Windows

The latest update to the Grammarly Keyboard on iOS adds a new Dark theme, emoji search, and dictation functionality.

“If you’re a regular user of the Grammarly Keyboard for iOS, you may have noticed the recent arrival of some pretty cool features,” a new post to the Grammarly Blog notes. “In case you missed it, here’s what’s new.”

Dark theme. When used with apps that support a Dark mode, the Grammarly Keyboard will display using its new Dark theme. It will also appear if you enable Invert mode in iOS.

Emoji search. In addition to supporting the same emojis as the default iOS keyboard, the Grammarly Keyboard now includes an emoji search bar so you can more easily find the emoji you’re looking for.

Dictation. Now, you can tap and hold on the spacebar to enable a new dictation mode and speak instead of typing.

As you may know, we rely on and recommend Grammarly—the browser plug-in—here at Thurrott.com. And the Grammarly Keyboard has also been interesting to me because of this. But it’s been a while since I’ve tried it. Maybe it’s time for another go.
