Google is changing how search results work for desktop users in the US. The search engine now offers continuous scrolling on the desktop, which will let users see more results by just continuing to scroll down when they reach the bottom of the current search results page.

This change is currently rolling out to users in the US using Google in English. Continuous scrolling will stop after the first six pages of results, and after will need to click on a “See more” button to access more search results.

Google previously rolled out continuous scrolling on mobile last year. “Most people who want additional information tend to browse up to four pages of search results. With this update, people can now seamlessly do this, browsing through many different results, before needing to click the “See more” button,” the company explained at the time.

Continuous scrolling is a nice usability change, and it was already easy to find browser extensions that provide the same capability without limiting users to the first six pages of search results. It’s not clear when Google plans to bring continuous scrolling on the desktop to more markets, but the feature is no longer US-only on mobile.
