Dates for Microsoft’s Build 2023 Conference Leak
Microsoft’s Build developer conference will be held on May 23-25 this year according to a leaked image posted by WalkingCat. While an official announcement is likely imminent, the image shows that there will be a global digital event on May 23-24 in addition to an in-person event in Seattle.
Build remains one of the biggest Microsoft events of the year, and it will be preceded by Google’s I/O 2023 conference on May 10. Apple’s WWDC developer conference usually follows in early June, and this year Apple is expected to unveil its first mixed-reality headset.

After Microsoft launched a new Bing chatbot in preview, AI will likely be a big topic at this year’s Build conference. Microsoft has also brought its Bing AI to Microsoft Edge and Skype, and the company isn’t going to stop there: The Office apps are also expected to receive new AI-powered features very soon.
Lastly, Microsoft may also start discussing how it plans to better integrate AI into Windows. We’ve already seen glimpses of that with Windows Studio Effects on Windows on ARM devices with a neural processing unit. “AI is going to reinvent how you do everything on Windows, quite literally,” Microsoft’s Chief Product Officer Panos Panay teased at AMD’s CES 2023 press conference in January.
