Microsoft today detailed the new features and improvements that it delivered to Office 365 users this month. Key among them are the releases of Outlook Customer Manager and Microsoft To-Do.

“Several Office 365 updates this month can help companies of all sizes accelerate the digital transformation within their organization,” Microsoft corporate vice president Kirk Koenigsbauerexplains. “We released Outlook Customer Manager, introduced Microsoft To-Do in Preview, extended Designer to PowerPoint on iPad, added support for Office 365 Groups in additional Office apps and more.”

This month’s updates are somewhat unique in that most of them are major new product releases instead of feature updates to existing products. But here’s the list:

Outlook Customer Manager. Aimed at small businesses, Microsoft Outlook Customer Manager makes it easy to track and grow customer relationships right from within Outlook. It is now generally available to Office 365 Business Premium subscribers worldwide. This solution currently supports Outlook 2016 for Windows, Outlook for iOS. and Outlook on the Web.

Microsoft To-Do. Available now as a preview for all customers on Windows 10, iPhone, Android, and the web, Microsoft To-Do is an intelligent task management app that makes it easy to plan and manage your day, Microsoft says.

Skype for Windows 10. Previously known as Skype Preview, the Skype mobile app is now generally available as part of the Windows 10 Creators Update. “Skype for Windows 10 now includes exclusive features such as mini view, SMS relay for Windows Phone, and Skype Translator for calls to mobile phones and landlines,” Mr. Koenigsbauer writes. “It is easy to use Skype with keyboard shortcuts, conversation search and a redesigned group video calling view that brings everyone even closer together.”

Groups in Outlook. Groups helps you manage group lists, conversations, and events from within Outlook. It is available now on Windows and the web, and is starting to roll out to Office 365 commercial customers on Outlook for Mac, iOS, and Android.

Groups in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Office 365 commercial customers with Office 2016 for Windows will also be able to open and save Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents in Groups beginning this month.

PowerPoint Designer on iPad. PowerPoint for iPad has been updated with support for Designer, a new feature that helps even a novice create high-quality slide decks quickly and easily. Designer is now available in PowerPoint for iPad for all Office 365 subscribers. (This feature is already available in PowerPoint 2016 for Windows and Mac, PowerPoint mobile for Windows 10, PowerPoint for Android tablets, and on the web.)

As always, there’s a lot more. But you can find out about other new Office 365 feature across Office 2016 for Windows, Office 2016 for Mac, Office for iPhone and iPad, and Office for Android at the respective Microsoft blog posts.
