Amazon is giving Prime members in the US a free one-year Grubhub+ membership, which provides unlimited $0 delivery fees on eligible food orders on Grubhub. This new partnership with Grubhub was announced ahead of Amazon’s Prime Day on July 12-13, the company’s biggest saving event of the year.

Starting today, Prime members in the U.S. can use their free Grubhub+ membership to enjoy no food-delivery fees in more than 4,000 cities with hundreds of thousands of partner restaurants in the US. A Grubhub+ subscription usually costs $10 a month, and members also get access to member-only perks and rewards

This new partnership with Grubhub follows a previous attempt from Amazon to create its own food delivery service in the US and the UK. The service called Amazon Restaurants shut down in the US back in 2019, and Amazon also discontinued it in London a year earlier. According to a separate announcement from Grubhub parent company Just Eat Takeaway, the partnership with Amazon “automatically renews each year unless terminated by Amazon or Grubhub.”

Prime members in the US can redeem their free Grubhub+ membership for one year on the Amazon Prime perks page. Existing Grubhub+ members can also take advantage of this offer, with the exception of Grubhub Campus, Corporate, and certain existing partnership members.
